Terms & Conditions

By accepting these terms and conditions you acknowledge you are over the age of 20, legally able to enter this agreement and undertake to pay all the amounts associated with this reservation.
Twizel Holiday Homes may ask to sight your credit card or Drivers Licence for security reasons.

Payment:
If you are making a reservation less than 30 days from your arrival then payment in full is required. A small booking fee is included in the first day’s charge.
If your arrival date is more than 30 days from the time of making the reservation then the first night’s tariff is required immediately and the remainder paid in full 7 Days or more from arrival date. Please note our cancellation policy.
No keys will be issued until full payment is received.

All prices on the website are in NZD.

Bond Required:
A bond may be required for some reservations. This requirement is applied at the discretion of management. The bond is refundable once the property has been checked on departure and seen to have been left as it was found.

Check In/Out:
When planning your trip please make note that you can check in any time after 3pm (earlier may be arranged). If you anticipate a late arrival (e.g. after 5.30pm) please arrange this with Twizel Holiday Homes prior to your arrival. Check out time is 10am. Should you wish to have a later check out you will need to contact Twizel Holiday Homes to enquire as to whether this is possible. These arrangements are made at the discretion of management and may incur a fee.

Occupancy:
Mackenzie District Council has strict limitations on occupancy. Please do not exceed the number of occupants for which the reservation has been made. Pitching tents or parking caravans or motor homes is not permitted unless otherwise arranged through Twizel Holiday Homes.
Minimum night limitations may apply to event weekends, long weekends or school holiday periods.
If you are in doubt, please enquire with Twizel Holiday Homes.

What to bring:
All houses are fully furnished. A starter pack which includes a small amount of tea, coffee, sugar, soap and toilet paper to cover your first night is supplied. Unless you have elected to hire linen as you made this booking, you will need to bring your own sheets, towels and pillowcases. All other bedding, utensils and house hold items are provided.

Cleaning:
A cleaning fee will be added to your payment but on your departure you must leave the house clean and tidy. This includes the BBQ. We will inspect the home as you depart and reserve the right to charge you for damage or excessive cleaning if this is not done to our satisfaction.
Smoking:
Smoking is prohibited in all of Twizel Holiday Homes properties.

Damage:
We realise that accidents do happen however you liable for damage to any property or contents of the property incurred during your stay. Please inspect the property and report any damage immediately to Twizel Holiday Homes upon arrival.

Noise:
It’s important to the home owner that you respect the neighbours. Noisy gatherings are not permitted. If a complaint is received, Twizel Holiday Homes reserves the right to evict the party from the property.

Faults:
Twizel Holiday Homes does not guarantee that the products and services that are listed in any of the homes will be continuous or fault free. Twizel Holiday Homes will endeavour to repair/replace any faulty item but given the limited services available in Twizel this may not always be immediately possible. Events beyond our control, such as poor weather, power cuts or unforeseen electronic breakdowns, do not give the guest the automatic entitlement to a discount unless such event has prevented the guest from being able to safely occupy the property altogether and Twizel Holiday Homes is unable to relocate the tenant to a suitable property.

Changing These Terms and Conditions and Giving Notice:
Twizel Holiday Homes may change these terms and conditions, by changing or removing existing terms and conditions or adding new ones, at any time. The change applies from the time it is published on our website. If we need to give you any notice, we can do this by emailing you at the last email address you have provided us. You are deemed to have received the email at the time the email leaves our server.

General:
These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and Twizel Holiday Homes. Twizel Holiday Homes failure or delay in exercising or enforcing any right or provision of these terms and conditions shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
If any provision of these terms and conditions are found by a Court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the parties nevertheless agree that the Court should endeavour to give effect to the parties’ intentions as reflected in the provision, and the other provisions of these terms remain in full force and effect.
